Step 2

Apply through the official route

Apply for the WH temporary residence permit through the Hungarian mission covering nationality/habitual residence. OIF also describes eligible domestic EnterHungary/in-person submissions; confirm Australian eligibility and lawful-stay timing before using that route. Overseas filing includes the collection-entry visa application.

Contact the competent mission for the Australian ministry-letter method, applicable fee and treaty-document checklist.
Prepare the temporary-permit form, photo, passport, treaty evidence and applicable means/accommodation/healthcare attachments.
Submit through the instructed overseas route and provide biometrics. For an eligible electronic filing, OIF requires fee and biometrics/signature within 15 days for receipt.
On approval, follow the collection-entry visa and residence-card delivery instructions; distinguish the short entry visa from the 12-month permit.

Read your approval and entry conditions

Read the entire approval notice: identity, dates, entry deadline and conditions. Keep it available offline. Do not assume the visa starts on your preferred date.

Step 4

Get ready for the trip

Obtain programme-specific support-letter instructions before filing. Do not transfer another nationality’s education or English condition or historical 200 allocation.

Step 5

Start your Working Holiday

For overseas approvals OIF describes a single-entry collection visa valid three months, authorising no more than 30 days of stay, followed by the residence-permit document, normally mailed to the delivery address. Follow your issued instructions.

Work incidental to holiday; host-law permission needed to exceed the employer limit.
