Working Holiday in Poland for New Zealanders (2026)

Requirements, application steps and preparation before departure.

Step 1

Check requirements and language preparation

Initial funds

The NZ Working Holiday page gives this amount. The D-visa page also requires evidence in the form decided by the mission. Confirm the current calculation before lodging; budget separately for actual living costs.

Visa fee

The linked D-visa page states a non-refundable charge. Confirm any scheme-specific exemption directly before payment.

Application dates and timing

No annual opening established. The mission asks filing at least two weeks before departure; the visa is described as allowing entry within twelve months of issue. Read the actual validity dates.

Documents and participation

Signed printed form, passport copy, travel/funds, accepted insurance, itinerary and signed agreement-compliance statement. Use the New Zealand scheme subsection.

Step 2

Apply through the official route

  1. Complete the national-visa form through e-Konsulat and book personal filing at Wellington.
  2. Prepare the scheme declaration, accommodation/itinerary, passport/photo, insurance and support plus departure evidence.
  3. Confirm the current support calculation and fee with the mission; the scheme page states PLN 20 per day while the general D-visa page governs filing evidence.
  4. Submit personally, pay as instructed and await the decision; provide the required prepaid courier envelope or collect personally.

Step 3

Read your approval and entry conditions

Read the entire approval notice: identity, dates, entry deadline and conditions. Keep it available offline. Do not assume the visa starts on your preferred date.

Step 4

Get ready for the trip

PLN 20 per day is the mission’s published scheme figure, not a realistic estimate of all travel costs. Reserve return funds separately and confirm the current calculation. Use accepted full-stay medical/travel insurance of at least EUR 30,000.

  • Passport, visa and requested evidence accessible offline.
  • Initial funds, insurance and departure costs checked separately.
  • First accommodation and airport transport arranged.

Step 5

Start your Working Holiday

A scheme visa permits incidental work without a separate work permit under the published agreement. Observe three months with the same employer and a maximum of three months per course. Border admission remains separate from visa approval.

Language courses · commercial service

Plan a language course for your trip.

Through ViveCampus you can request language-course quotes with international-student discounts. Offers may vary by your country of origin and destination. A personalized quote confirms available discounts and the final price. Booking a course does not guarantee a visa.
