Visa fee

The linked guideline lists a historical NZD 81.06 DOJ filing fee. Confirm the current fee and payment methods with Wellington; the exemptions from specified immigration fees do not prove the whole application is free.

DOJ form sworn before a Justice of the Peace if mailed, or consular officer if filed in person; passport copy, funds, return evidence and whole-stay insurance.

Step 2

Apply through the official route

  1. Ask the Philippine Embassy in Wellington to confirm the current New Zealand 47(a)(2) Working Holiday checklist and charges.
  2. Prepare the DOJ form, medical/chest X-ray, recent police record, passport, funds, return evidence and insurance.
  3. Submit personally or by the confirmed mail route; the guideline requires the mailed form to be sworn before a Justice of the Peace.
  4. After approval follow the embassy’s request for passport, return electronic-ticket copy and a prepaid signature-required courier bag.

Read your approval and entry conditions

Read the entire approval notice: identity, dates, entry deadline and conditions. Keep it available offline. Do not assume the visa starts on your preferred date.

Step 4

Get ready for the trip

Use the PHP 160,000 amount from the nationality guideline rather than its historical approximate NZ-dollar conversion, and reserve departure costs separately. Confirm current acceptance, medical documentation and charges before payment; named officers and the 2014 launch are not current contact assurances.

Step 5

Start your Working Holiday

Check that the granted category is the scheme’s 47(a)(2) permission. The guideline exempts scheme employment from a Special Work Permit, permits non-degree study without a Special Study Permit within its limit, and says an i-Card is optional. Confirm current administrative practice before relying on exemptions.
