Working Holiday in Poland for Argentines (2026)

Requirements, application steps and travel preparation.

Step 1

Ages 18–30

Inclusive when submitting your application.

Passport and nationality

Argentine passport + 3 months

Habitual residence in Argentina. Passport issued within the last ten years, two blank pages and validity at least three months beyond the intended stay.

Language requirement

A mandatory test is not confirmed here. Polish can help with paperwork and conversations; it does not guarantee employment.

Documents and previous participation

First participation, no dependants

Printed signed e-konsulat form, two photos, residence evidence, purpose declaration, apostilled police certificate and funds, housing and insurance evidence. Confirm the police-certificate issuer and translations with the consulate.

Three separate budget items

Separate monthly living funds, full-stay accommodation and departure. Meeting the monthly minimum does not automatically cover the other two.

Prepare the fuller document set

The programme list asks for two photos and apostilled police evidence. Prepare both even though general guidance is shorter. Its reference to a Civil Registry and Identification authority needs clarification for an Argentine applicant: confirm the issuing body before ordering it.

Language courses · commercial service

Prepare your language skills before travelling.

Through ViveCampus, you can get quotes for language courses with international-student discounts. Offers may vary by your country of origin and destination. Request a personalized quote to confirm available discounts and the final price. Booking a course does not guarantee a visa.

Step 2

Apply for the Working Holiday visa

Annual quota

400 per year

The ministry states 400 for each party to the agreement, not remaining places.

References: ARPL3

Application dates

Book through e-konsulat. General guidance says at least two weeks before travel, but examination can take longer: do not wait until that minimum.

References: ARPL1 ARPL2

Visa fee

USD 235

The embassy’s published national D fee, payable in US-dollar cash when filing. Confirm the current amount; refusal does not make it refundable.

How to prepare your application

Use e-konsulat to complete and print the form and book an appointment; file personally in Buenos Aires. The programme has its own documents and funds requirements alongside general national D instructions.

  1. Check requirements and confirm documents and translations with the consulate.
  2. Complete and print the e-konsulat form, then book through the official channel.
  3. Attend personally in Buenos Aires with your application and the stated payment.
  4. Wait for the decision; check validity start and end before arranging travel.

National D guidance states 15 working days from payment, potentially extended to 30 days for detailed examination. Appointment waiting time is separate and no travel date is guaranteed. ARPL2

Step 3

If my visa is approved

Wait for a written decision. Before booking, check your entry deadline and the conditions of the permit you receive.

Length of stay

12 months

Multiple-entry visa. The period runs from the Polish visa’s validity start, not your arrival. Check the granted dates.

Step 4

Get ready for my trip

Funds for your stay

PLN 776 per month + housing + departure

The official list requires that monthly minimum plus accommodation for the entire stay: prepaid or reserved with funds to cover it. Add a return ticket or at least PLN 2,500 to buy one. This is not the total trip cost.

Travel insurance

Minimum EUR 30,000 cover

Insurance valid for the entire stay. Check accepted policy conditions and insurers with the official source.

Step 5

Start my Working Holiday in Poland

Work conditions

Up to 6 months of total work

The limit is cumulative, not six months per employer. Learning the language and culture remains the primary purpose.

Study during your trip

The programme describes learning and short courses; confirm the specific study limit before booking.

Address registration in Poland

For an Argentine without EU/EFTA family status, register temporary residence at the municipality by the fourth day at the address. Stays not exceeding 30 days are exempt. Prepare the form, travel document, visa and accommodation evidence; attend personally if you have no PESEL. Address registration is separate from immigration permission.

Your first days

  • Plan your transfer and keep your accommodation address available offline.
  • Before accepting a job, check the contract, work conditions and relevant local formalities.
  • If studying, confirm your timetable and location with the school. Save support contacts and review your budget.

Agreements differ by destination. Check age, documents and conditions separately.

Frequently asked questions

Does the online form submit my application?

No. Complete and print the e-konsulat form, then attend personally in Buenos Aires by appointment.

References: ARPL1 ARPL2

What living and return funds are required?

Guidance requires PLN 776 per month plus accommodation for the whole stay and a return ticket or PLN 2,500 to buy one. This is not one all-inclusive amount.

References: ARPL1 ARPL2

How many photographs should I bring?

Prepare two 35 × 45 mm photographs following the programme-specific list, alongside the form and required originals.

References: ARPL1

Is work counted per employer?

No: the published limit is six months of work in total. Changing employer does not restart it.

References: ARPL1 ARPL3

Does the visa start when I arrive?

Check the printed dates: validity runs from the visa start date. Arriving later does not automatically postpone expiry.

References: ARPL3

Can I register my address online?

General guidance excludes online filing for foreigners without EU/EFTA or family status. Without a PESEL, attend the municipality personally with the required documents.
