Frequently asked questions

What is a Working Holiday?

A Working Holiday combines a travel stay with the opportunity to work to supplement your budget. Each destination sets its conditions; an agreement does not guarantee a visa.

Can I take more than one Working Holiday?

Check each destination separately. Previous participation, even an unused visa, may matter. Australia and Canada have particular provisions; do not generalize one rule across every agreement.

Which destination could I consider at 32?

Australia, Canada and South Korea have documented rules up to age 35 for French citizens. Korea’s change applies from 1 October 2026. This comparison considers age only; other requirements still need checking.

Must I speak the language before leaving?

Distinguish any language evidence required for a visa from the practical skills needed for housing or employment. The form helps you plan preparation; it does not replace an official test.

What if no Working Holiday fits my age?

A language programme may be another option. Check the suitable visa, budget and work rights; taking a course does not automatically allow employment.
