Australia Working Holiday for Polish citizens (2026)

Requirements, application steps and preparation before departure.

Step 1

Check requirements and prepare your language

Age

The documented application age is 18–30 inclusive. All other conditions still apply.

Length of stay

The programme allows up to 12 months; your actual permission determines its dates and conditions.

References: AU-462

Initial funds

Home Affairs normally asks for about AUD 5,000 plus departure funds. Budget at least that reserve separately from other travel costs.

Visa fee

This specific condition for this route remains unconfirmed in this research. Confirm it with the linked responsible authority before applying.

Annual quota

This specific condition for this route remains unconfirmed in this research. Confirm it with the linked responsible authority before applying.

Application dates and timing

Polish certificate dates are not Australian visa-filing dates. Check both procedures; a previous season does not establish a future opening.

Language

Use an accepted test or another permitted evidence route, such as qualifying English-medium education. Self-assessment is not evidence; check current accepted scores and validity.

Step 2

Apply for the visa

First request the Polish support certificate using the ministry form and choose an accepted delivery option. The certificate is not a visa. Apply separately online through ImmiAccount for a first subclass 462. AU-462

  1. Check age, Polish passport, tertiary qualification or two completed undergraduate years and accepted functional-English evidence.
  2. Request the ministry support certificate and choose delivery: post within Poland, personal collection, authorised representative or electronic copy.
  3. Prepare passport, certificate, education and English evidence, aboutAUD 5,000 and separate departure resources.
  4. Apply separately for 462 in ImmiAccount; check the fee, answer requests and read the grant conditions before travel.

Step 3

After approval

Read the entire approval notice: identity, dates, entry deadline and conditions. Keep it available offline. Do not assume the visa starts on your preferred date.

Step 4

Prepare your trip

The ministry certificate does not guarantee a visa; the ministry does not decide the Australian application. Plan insurance, initial living costs and separate departure. Do not treat a certificate-issuance launch date as a current visa opening.

  • Passport, visa and requested evidence accessible offline.
  • Initial funds, insurance and departure costs checked separately.
  • First accommodation and airport transport arranged.

Step 5

Start your Working Holiday

Before working, check the granted visa conditions, especially the usual six months with one employer. Detailed arrival declarations and tax registration have not yet been confirmed in this research.

Work

The limit generally applies to the same employer, not all work during your stay. Check official exceptions before extending employment.

Language courses · commercial service

Prepare your language skills for the trip.

Through ViveCampus you can request language-course quotes with international-student discounts. Offers may vary by your country of origin and destination. A personalized quote confirms available discounts and the final price. Booking a course does not guarantee a visa.

Study or training is limited to four months; choose a course within the visa conditions.
