Step 2

Apply for the visa

Apply online in English under the Dutch scheme. Supply requested evidence and inspect the eVisa and entry deadline after approval.

  1. Check previous New Zealand grants and passport validity for three months beyond visa expiry.
  2. Prepare NZD 4,200 plus separate departure resources, full insurance and any required medical/police evidence with certified English translations.
  3. Apply online in English, pay officially and respond to evidence requests.
  4. Save the eVisa and enter within twelve months of issue. An unused previous grant does not simply allow a fresh application.

Step 3

After approval

Read the entire approval notice: identity, dates, entry deadline and conditions. Keep it available offline. Do not assume the visa starts on your preferred date.

Step 4

Prepare your trip

Keep departure money separate from NZD 4,200 and arrange full medical cover including hospitalisation. Use the Dutch passport rule rather than Belgium’s fifteen-month rule.

  • Passport, visa and requested evidence accessible offline.
  • Initial funds, insurance and departure costs checked separately.

Step 5

Start your Working Holiday

Complete the New Zealand Traveller Declaration and carry departure, funds and insurance evidence. Paid work requires an IRD tax number; read your eVisa employment conditions.

Language courses · commercial service

Prepare the language for your trip.

Through ViveCampus you can request language-course quotes with international-student discounts. Offers may vary by your country of origin and destination. A personalized quote confirms available discounts and the final price. Booking a course does not guarantee a visa.

Study or training is limited to six months in total during this stay. Check the course length before enrolling.
