Working Holiday in Germany for Brazilian citizens (2026)

Step 1

Check requirements and prepare your language skills

Age when applying

Passport and nationality

Brazilian citizenship and residence in Brazil

Apply in the consular jurisdiction of your current Brazilian residence. Your passport needs at least two blank pages. Residence alone does not replace the nationality requirement.

Language requirement

The page does not establish a language examination. The CV and motivation must be in English or German; this is a document instruction, not automatic proof of proficiency.

How to prepare your application

  1. Check age, first participation and the consular jurisdiction of your current Brazilian residence. Book only through the official online channel.
  2. Complete VIDEX online, print and sign it. Organise originals, photo, passport, residence evidence, insurance, CV and motivation according to the checklist.
  3. Choose financial evidence accounting separately for living costs, accommodation and return travel. Attend the appointment and pay by an accepted method.
  4. Wait for review of the complete file and check the issued visa before finalising travel. Follow the arrival and residence instructions you receive.

Official average of two to four weeks after complete documentation is submitted. Individual cases can take longer.
