  2. Prepare passport, maintenance funds, separate return arrangements and full-stay insurance including liability and repatriation.
  3. Apply through the official Immigration online service and follow any evidence requests.
  4. On approval, follow the official fee/eVisa instructions and inspect entry and stay conditions before travelling.

Step 3

Read your approval and entry conditions

Read the entire approval notice: identity, dates, entry deadline and conditions. Keep it available offline. Do not assume the visa starts on your preferred date.

Step 4

Get ready for the trip

Prepare HKD 22,000 initial funds plus return arrangements and whole-stay insurance. British work and study allowances differ from Ireland: check the British annex and do not substitute its study prohibition or fee waiver.

HK-WHS

  • Passport, visa and requested evidence accessible offline.
  • Initial funds, insurance and departure costs checked separately.
  • First accommodation and airport transport arranged.

Step 5
