Step 2

Apply through the official route

Complete BOCA’s form, print it and sign the second page; select 1–180 days, multiple entries and Working Holiday (Youth Mobility). Submit the Irish checklist personally or through an agent to the Taipei Representative Office in Ireland.

  1. Check Irish residence, age, first participation and passport validity six months beyond the proposed end of your visit.
  2. Complete and sign the printed BOCA form; prepare two recent photos, conduct certificate, funds, travel and full-stay insurance.
  3. Submit to the Taipei Representative Office in Ireland personally or through an agent. Confirm payment currency and any additional documents or interview.
  4. Check the multiple-entry visitor visa and plan any extension before the initial 180-day stay expires. The full year is not automatic.

Step 3

Read your approval and entry conditions

Read the entire approval notice: identity, dates, entry deadline and conditions. Keep it available offline. Do not assume the visa starts on your preferred date.

Step 4

Get ready for the trip

Plan travel around both visa validity and permitted stay. The visa is a multiple-entry visitor visa, not the British resident-visa route. Prepare departure evidence and full-stay insurance, and retain the correct form and conduct certificate.

IE-TW-18

  • Passport, visa and requested evidence accessible offline.
  • Initial funds, insurance and departure costs checked separately.
  • First accommodation and airport transport arranged.

Step 5

Start your Working Holiday

Count the authorised stay from the day after arrival. If you need more than 180 days, apply at the local National Immigration Agency service centre within the final fifteen days for up to 180 additional days. Total stay remains at most one year from first entry; it cannot then be extended or changed to another visa.

IE-TW-18

Work

The visa is regarded as a work permit. Regulated or specialist work must still meet Taiwanese qualification and professional-registration requirements.

Language courses · commercial service

Plan a language course for your trip.

Through ViveCampus you can request language-course quotes with international-student discounts. Offers may vary by your country of origin and destination. A personalized quote confirms available discounts and the final price. Booking a course does not guarantee a visa.
