Step 2
Apply through the official route
Create an IEC Working Holiday profile, wait for an invitation and then apply for the permit. After accepting, the deadline is 20 days inUTC. The POE letter is not the work permit; the permit is issued at the border if conditions are met.

- Create a Working Holiday pool profile; the profile does not guarantee an invitation or permit.
- If invited and you accept, submit within 20 days using theUTC deadline, personalised checklist, fees and requested biometrics/medical evidence.
- Before travel, prepare POE letter, passport, full insurance and a recent bank statement for CAD 2,500 plus departure.

Read your approval and entry conditions
Read the entire approval notice: identity, dates, entry deadline and conditions. Keep it available offline. Do not assume the visa starts on your preferred date.
Step 4
Get ready for the trip
Prepare a statement issued no more than one week before departure, CAD 2,500 initial funds and separate departure money or ticket. Insurance must cover medical care, hospitalisation and repatriation for the whole stay; Quebec’s public plan does not cover repatriation.

Step 5
Start your Working Holiday
