Annual quota
Neither the consulted Italy page nor WI2.75 gives an annual number. Omission alone does not establish an unlimited allocation.
Application dates and timing
The Italy page and manual give no fixed annual opening or closing date. This is not an availability bulletin: follow the official process. A visa unused within twelve months expires and does not permit a fresh application.
Language
INZ requires application in English and sets translation rules. The consulted Italy page gives no English test; do not transfer other passports’ conditions.

Step 2
Apply for the visa
- Check the Italy scheme and gather passport, funds and insurance evidence.
- Apply online in English through Immigration New Zealand.
- Provide requested documents and translations and pay the confirmed total.
- Answer additional requests and record the entry deadline after grant.
Step 3
After approval
Read the entire approval notice: identity, dates, entry deadline and conditions. Keep it available offline. Do not assume the visa starts on your preferred date.
Step 4
Prepare your trip
Compare courses within the six-month total and budget for housing independently of future wages.
Separate departure funds
The NZD 4,200 reserve is separate from a ticket or funds to leave. Keep evidence of both available.

Step 5
Start your Working Holiday
Complete the New Zealand Traveller Declaration; for air travel submit from 24 hours before your journey starts. Keep eVisa, funds, insurance and departure evidence ready; check conditions and obtain an IRD number for employment tax.
Work
The limit applies to one employer. You can work in temporary jobs during the stay but cannot take permanent employment.
Study
You can study or train for a combined total of six months. Count all courses together.
